On Saturday, February 21, the International History Bee and Bowl’s Canadian Division held its first-ever tournament at Carleton University in Ottawa, our Ottawa History Bee and Bowl. Congratulations to Colonel By A and Lisgar Collegiate C for being the first champions in the Varsity and Junior Varsity divisions of the History Bowl and to Tommy Power of Bell and Josh Lane of Lisgar for being the first Varsity and Junior Varsity History Bee champions! Many thanks to Ben Smith, Joe Su, and the Ontario Quizbowl Association for their help in directing and organizing the tournament and to Carleton University for hosting. Thanks to all five schools and nine teams who participated as well. Our next scheduled tournament will be on March 14 at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. We hope that teams and students in Alberta look forward to joining us then!
