Canadian Division

2024-2025 Competition Season

International Academic Competitions organizes quiz tournaments through its Canadian Division for primary and secondary school students throughout Canada. The Canadian Division includes the International History Bee and Bowl (IHBB), which are two academic quiz competitions with a history focus (the Bee is for individual students, the Bowl is for teams). For individual students, we also organize the International Geography Bee and the International Science Bee.

Founded in 2010, IAC organizes events for students in over 50 countries, including the annual Canadian Championships, the biennial International History Olympiad (next held in July 2025) and the biennial International Geography Championships (next held in July 2026). Over 50,000 students around the world take part in IAC events each year and we invite your students and children to join them!

Regional Tournaments

For the 2024-2025 academic year, we anticipate running IHBB tournaments in the Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary or Edmonton areas, in addition to online tournaments on different sets of questions so that teams and individual students can compete both online and in person.

Championship Qualification

The top students and teams will also qualify for our annual Canadian Championships in the spring, along with the 2025 International History Olympiad.
