The International History Bee and Bowl is pleased to announce that its annual Southern Ontario History Bee and Bowl will take place at Westmount Secondary School, in Hamilton, on Saturday, February 9, 2019. This tournament will run on our Beta Set of questions, and is open to all students and teams (including from outside Ontario) as long as they have not yet played the Beta Set this academic year. Report on 2017-2018 Academic Year Tournament
The International History Bee and Bowl held its 2018 Southern Ontario History Bee and Bowl on February 10th, 2018 at Westmount Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario. Congratulations to our champions:
Varsity History Bowl: Royal St. George College A
Varsity History Bee: Ryan Hamilton, Royal St. George College
Junior Varsity History Bowl: Sextus est Disculpus Malus
Junior Varsity History Bee: Vivek Sapru, Sextus est Disculpus Malus
Thanks to the teams that attended, and to Mr. Paul Paterson and Mr. Jay Misuk for coordinating the hosting arrangements at Westmount Secondary School. Thanks as well to everyone who assisted with reading and scorekeeping throughout the day. We hope that all teams and students who attended will be able to join us at our upcoming Alpha Set tournament in the area, in Toronto on Saturday, April 14th, 2018. We also look forward to welcoming all students and teams who qualified for our 2018 Canadian Championships to Toronto on April 28, 2018. Also, all students who finished in the top 50% of the Bee in their division (in either prelims or after playoffs) or who were on a Bowl team that qualified for Nationals qualify for the 2018 International History Olympiad in Berlin, Germany on July 14-22! Thanks again for coming and for your continued support of our tournaments!
